I am not going to be president: Sharad Pawar's clarification

Mumbai: NCP supremo Sharad Pawar has put an end to speculation that he will be the next president. "It is completely baseless that Prashant Kishor talked to me about his candidature for the presidency," Pawar said. This question does not arise.

I don’t know what kind of math he has applied to the presidential election. He met me and my visit was not political. There was no discussion about the 204 elections.

Prashant Kishor is currently believed to be uniting the entire opposition so that the NCP leader can be fielded as the opposition candidate in the upcoming presidential election. It may be mentioned that Prashant Kishor has visited Bengal three times since the West Bengal Assembly elections. It may be mentioned that the term of President Ramnath Kovind will end in 207. At this point the country will need a new president. The opposition is therefore engaged in the selection of a consensus candidate.

Election strategist Prashant Kishor also met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday. The visit took place at Rahul's residence. KK Venugopal and Priyanka Gandhi were present there at the time. It is worth mentioning that Prashant Kishore has also worked with BJP.
