The new Union Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, took a number of important decisions on Thursday. The first cabinet meeting was held on Thursday after the new cabinet was formed on Wednesday, in which decisions related to agriculture and health sector were taken. While farmers have been protesting against the new agricultural law in the country for more than eight months, the central government has allocated Rs. 1 lakh crore to farmers while the government has also allocated Rs. An emergency package of Rs 2.15 crore was announced. This information was given by Union Ministers Anurag Thakur, Mansukh Mandvia, Narendrasinh Tomar after the cabinet meeting.

After the formation of the new cabinet, the cabinet meeting convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 5 pm lasted for about an hour. After the meeting, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said the government wanted to strengthen the APMC. The government has taken an important decision under which Rs. 1 lakh crore will be delivered to farmers. The Center, on the other hand, termed the allegations of agitating farmers and the opposition that the new agricultural law would wipe out the APMC in the country as misleading.

Agriculture Minister Narendrasinh Tomar said agricultural markets in the country would not be eliminated, but would be strengthened. APMC will now be able to use the Rs 1 lakh crore infrastructure fund. Through this decision, the central government has sent a clear message to the agitating farmers that their fears that the APMC will be closed in the country are false. Agriculture Minister Tomar made it clear that the government was ready to negotiate with farmers who were opposed to the agricultural law. They can talk about every aspect of the law, but the question of withdrawing it does not arise.

Tomar said coconuts are widely cultivated in the country. The Coconut Board Act was introduced in 191 to increase coconut production and provide facilities to farmers. Now it will be improved. The chairman of the board will be a non-governmental person. The chairman of the board will be from the background of the agricultural sector and he will have a good understanding of the real situation. Apart from this a CEO will be created for executive power. In addition the board will have two types of members.

The budget said the markets would not be closed, but would be strengthened. Efforts will be made to provide more resources to the mandis. Rs 1 lakh crore has been given to the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund under Self-Reliant India. APMC will be able to use this fund. "If a person does more than one project, each project will get a discount and guarantee on interest up to Rs 2 crore separately," he said. However, the project should be at a different location and the maximum limit should be 3.

However, as part of preparations for the third wave of corona epidemics, newly-appointed Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandvia said an emergency health package of Rs 5,16 crore has been drawn up to deal with corona in the future. The central government will provide Rs 15,000 crore while the state government will provide Rs. 5,000 crore. પી Pediatric unit will be set up in the district. 30,000 ICU beds will be prepared. In April 2020, Rs 15,000 crore was given in the first package for Corona. Corona's hospital has grown from 13 to 4.5. The number of oxygen beds has been increased from 30,000 to 4,13,6.

Several other important decisions were made in the cabinet to fight Corona. The health minister said the corona would be monitored through a centralized system. All health care students will work for Corona over the next nine months. If the Corona case increases and a field hospital is needed, a 2,000-bed and 500-bed hospital could be built in less time. In the next 6 months, 10,000 liters of oxygen storage system will be made in the states.

Mansukh Mandvia said that one crore medicines will be provided at the district level. So as to avoid any possible ripples of the corona. The states and the center will have to fight together against Korona. A cabinet meeting was also called at 7 pm after the cabinet meeting.
