Amid fears of a third wave of Corona, another unlock process was launched in Delhi on Monday. The Delhi Metro has been running at full capacity since Monday. After about a year it is becoming clear that the metro is ready to run this way. However, on the first day itself, huge crowds were seen at various metro stations in Delhi and there was no sign of social distance.

Monday was the first day of running the metro at 100 per cent capacity, with long lines lined up at different stations since morning. Long lines were seen in the morning at various metro stations in Delhi including Badarpur Border Metro Station, Anand Vihar Metro Station, Nirman Vihar Metro Station.

In the meantime, the gates at some stations were not even open due to some trouble in the metro, which caused a lot of trouble to the people. People were happy to know that after a long time the metro would be running at full capacity so it would be easy but the first day itself saw a lot of turmoil.

"People will get a lot of relief now," said a passenger standing at the Badarpur metro station. There was a lot of trouble before this but social distance is not being followed, people have become careless. People may be relieved but it is clear that the rules, in this way, can increase anxiety as the coveted guidelines are flying.

There was also some disturbance in the Delhi Metro for a while in the morning. The Delhi Metro tweeted that some jolts were felt at 6:42 am. The subway was then brought to a low speed and the next station was stopped. However now all the services are working normally.

Bus running with full capacity, crowds in temples

With one more phase of unlock on Monday, all DTC buses besides Metro will also run at full capacity. On Monday morning, people were seen traveling in buses in different parts of Delhi. In the midst of all this, adherence to the Covid guidelines is a matter of concern.

Apart from the unlock process, today is the Monday of the month of Shravan and a huge crowd is being seen in the temples. A huge crowd of devotees was seen at the temple at Chandni Chowk on Monday morning and the rules of social distance were violated.

Corona cases have been declining in the capital Delhi for some time now. The daily number of corona cases has now dropped drastically. The number of active cases in Delhi is less than 600 while more than 7 million people have been vaccinated.
