Tensions between India and China on the Ladakh front have not abated. Rather China is increasing this tension.

A report by Open Intelligence has revealed that China has deployed troops adjacent to Pangong Lake in Ladakh.

Earlier, the two countries agreed to withdraw troops and not patrol in the Pangong Lake area. China has since withdrawn its troops from the Finger Four area of Pangong Lake and deployed behind Finger Eight. Recent photos, however, show that a Chinese soldier is present in the vicinity of the disputed area.

The Chinese military has set up a base not far from the area of Pangong Lake where the agreement was reached not to patrol, and China has also built fuel tanks and troop residences here.

Satellite imagery proves that the border dispute between India and China is still ongoing. There are also reports of Chinese infiltration and setting up tents in the Demchok area on the Ladakh border. The Indian Army has since called for the removal of the tents.
