Children have a lower risk of corona, starting primary school

Despite having antibodies in 67% of people in the country, it is dangerous to be careless: CERO survey

Daily corona cases drop for first time in 125 days, 400 million people in 30,000 countries still at risk of corona: CERO survey

No death due to lack of oxygen in any state: Centre's claim in Rajya Sabha

New Delhi: Daily cases of corona virus are declining but on the other hand, 400 million people in the country are still at risk of corona. The claim was made on the basis of the fourth national level CIRO survey. One in three people is still at risk of coronavirus, according to the ICMR's CERO survey.

The survey, on the other hand, found that two-thirds, or 67 per cent, of the population have become important antibodies against corona. The country, on the other hand, is witnessing a sharp decline in daily cases of corona.

For the first time, Corona's daily cases dropped to 30,000, the lowest in the last 125 days. While the daily death toll also dropped to 374 and the total death toll has now risen to 4.14 lakh while the total number of cases has risen to 3.11 crore.

The number of active cases in the country also dropped to 406,130. In the last 24 hours, there was a decrease of 15 thousand cases. About 1.8 million corona tests were performed in a single day. And the total test figure crossed 44.73 crores.

The second wave of corona came up with several cases of oxygen deprivation and even claims of death. In it, the central government responded in the Rajya Sabha to the contrary, claiming that there were no cases of deaths due to lack of oxygen in the states and union territories.

The vaccination campaign, on the other hand, has been accelerated. The Center has so far delivered 42.15 crore doses of corona vaccine to states across the country. More than 400 million doses of the vaccine have been used so far with waste. States still have 2.11 million doses of corona vaccine available.

Meanwhile, the number of cases has come down in many states as the daily cases of corona have been declining. In it, ICMR chief Balram Bhargava said that once schools start opening in India, they should start with primary schools. This is because the risk of corona infection in children is lower than in adults or older.

The fourth and June-July CIRO survey was released by the ICMR, Balram Bhargava said, adding that in areas where antibodies have not been developed, the risk of a third wave of corona is higher. So more work needs to be done on these areas.

Half of the 6- to 17-year-olds surveyed tested positive. He also advised that people still need to distance themselves from social, religious or political programs. Wearing a mask and adhering to social distance are just as important now. Travel should be done only after taking both doses of the vaccine.

188 crore doses are required to vaccinate over 18 years of age

More than 18 years of age are being vaccinated in the country. The central government said the country has a population of 940 million people over the age of 18 and would need 188 crore doses to vaccinate them. However, in its reply to Parliament, the Center had also claimed that 188 crore doses would not be required if a single dose of vaccine was given in the future. The government has said that two doses of the vaccine are being given at present and the possibility of giving a single dose in the future.
