After Koro, now Zika virus has also arrived in the country, 13 cases have been reported in Kerala

Amidst the corona virus epidemic, the Zika virus has now arrived in the country. Thirteen cases of Zika virus were found in Kerala on Thursday. Samples taken from Thiruvananthapuram were sent to the Pune-based National Institute of Virology for testing, where the investigation confirmed the Zika virus.

According to the World Health Organization, the Zika virus is spread by the bite of the Aedes mosquito, which is active during the day. The virus was first found in Ugandan monkeys in 1947. It was later found in humans in Uganda and Tanzania in 1952. Zika virus has been found in Asia, Africa, America Pacific Islands.

The incubation period of Zika virus is 3 to 14 days, and most people show no real symptoms. Some people have complained of fever, rash, headache, muscle and joint pain. Zika virus causes Guillain-Barr સિ syndrome. It also causes birth defects in newborns.
