Where did the Rs 35,000 crore for vaccines go? Priyanka Gandhi's question to the central government

New Delhi, Thursday, June 3, 2021

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi has questioned the ongoing vaccination drive in the country. They have been criticizing the government for the last few days over vaccinations.

Asked if there was a budget of Rs 35,000 crore for vaccines, Priyanka Gandhi said the government should state where the money was spent. Vaccine production capacity was 8.5 crore in May and production was 7.94 crore. 61 million people were vaccinated. The government claims to have produced 120 million vaccine doses in June, but how did the vaccine company's production capacity increase by 40 per cent in a single month? Where was Rs 35000 crore spent on vaccine budget? Andher Vaksi policy and Chopat Raja rule the country.

Earlier, Priyanka Gandhi had said that an average of 1.9 million people in the country are being vaccinated every day. The vaccination program is hanging in the balance due to lax policy of the government. Only 3.4 percent have received two doses of the vaccine. The central government has shifted the responsibility to the states. If all adult Indians are to be vaccinated by December, 70 to 80 lakh people need to be vaccinated daily.

Priyanka Gandhi is asking questions to the government on a daily basis under the headline "Who is responsible?" The vaccine that the center gets for Rs 150 is getting to the states for Rs 400 and private hospitals for Rs 600, this kind of discrimination is not understood.
