The Prime Minister said that last year alone, oil marketing companies bought ethanol worth Rs 21,000 crore. A large part of it has gone into the pockets of our farmers. Sugarcane farmers in particular have benefited greatly from this. When I spoke to our farmer friends, their confidence was evident in how they are instinctively adapting to bio-fuse systems. It is only natural that the agricultural sector should benefit from the massive clean energy drive in the country.
