JKNPP accuses BJP of appeasing Kashmir

The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) on Sunday staged anti-BJP protests in Jammu and accused the Center of pursuing a policy of "appeasement of Kashmir" after Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited 12 major Union Territories to discuss the issue. . The JKNPP claimed that most of the Kashmir Valley leaders have been invited to the meeting to be held next week. JKNPP founder Bhim Singh said he would discuss with senior party leaders on Monday whether to attend the meeting with the Prime Minister. However, party workers led by party chairman and former minister Harsh Dev Singh burnt the statue of the central government. Harsh Dev said leaders of all parties in Kashmir have been invited to the PM's meeting while leaders in Jammu have been ignored. Altaf Bukhari's Apni Party and Sajjad Lone's People's Conference have also been invited while the two parties have not yet been recognized by the Election Commission of India.
