In this state, police personnel can no longer use mobiles while on duty

Police officers and Jawans can no longer use mobile phones or tablets unnecessarily while on duty in the state of Bihar. Those caught will also be prosecuted.

The order was issued today from the police headquarters and the use of unnecessary mobiles has been banned. Violation of the order will be treated as a breach of discipline. The police headquarters has urged for strict implementation of the order.

It is believed that Bihar police officers were seen using mobile phones excessively during their duty. Following which, the police headquarters has taken this step. Police say a number of such cases have come to light. Police officers use mobiles for social media and entertainment when they are on duty. Thus, the attention of the police personnel is diverted and the image of the police is also tarnished.

He needs to be vigilant when police personnel are on duty. The use of mobiles on duty sends the wrong message when society has high expectations of the police, the order said. Those who violate this rule will be prosecuted. However, mobile can be used in exceptional circumstances.
