Bharti Airtel and Tata Group join hands for FiveG network solution

Bharti Airtel and Tata Group have announced a strategic partnership to launch FiveG network solutions in India. According to a joint statement issued by the two companies, the Tata group has developed O-RN (Open Radio Access Network) based radio and NSA / SA (non-standalone / standalone) cores.

According to a joint statement issued by the two companies, commercial development will start from January 203. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will provide the Global System Integration Expertise.

In addition, Airtel will launch indigenous reconciliation projects in India as part of its FiveG plans in January, 2018, as per government rules.

"We are pleased to partner with the Tata Group to make India a global hub for FiveG and related technologies," said Gopal Vitthal, MD and CEO (India and South Asia), Bharti Airtel.

On behalf of the Tata Group, TCS's N Ganapit Subramaniam said, "As a group, we are excited about FiveG and its potential."
