62 thousand new cases of corona in 24 hours, more 1587 deaths

Active cases of black fungus cross 27,000 in the country, 3.75 lakh injections will be ready by end of month: Center

New Delhi: In the last 24 hours, 62,480 new cases of corona have been reported in India. Meanwhile, 1587 people have died and the total death toll has reached 3.83 lakh. Active cases have been declining for 73 consecutive days. Currently, the number of active cases in the country has come down to less than 8 lakh, which is 2.68 per cent of the total cases. A total of 19.29 lakh corona tests were performed in 24 hours. The Union Health Minister, on the other hand, claims that the second wave of corona occurred due to the negligence of the people.

The central government, meanwhile, claimed that a study of healthcare workers had found that people who had been vaccinated against coronavirus had an 80 per cent lower chance of being hospitalized. This means that the vaccine is so effective that even if a coronary heart attack occurs, the chances of death are very low.

Policy Commission member Dr. V. That. Paul said that a study was conducted on healthcare workers who had been vaccinated, with a 6 per cent chance of being admitted to the ICU even if corona occurs in those who have been vaccinated. While the chances of protection against Corona have been 94 percent. The lives of thousands of healthcare workers have been saved due to vaccinations. Of the 7,000 people vaccinated, only one died of corona.

The Union Health Minister blamed the negligence of the people for the second wave of Corona. Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan claimed that after the first wave of Corona virus, the virus went into a mute state, which led to people avoiding adhering to virus protectors such as masks and social distances. This was followed by another wave of Corona in the country. While distributing masks to frontline workers at the Union Ministry of Health, Dr. Harsh Vardhan made this statement.

Cases of black fungus also increased in the country amid the corona epidemic, according to government figures, the number of active cases of black fungus in the country has now crossed 27,000. At the same time, the government assured that the availability of injectable amphotericin B, which protects against black fungus, would be increased and it would be sent to the states whenever needed.

As of June 16, 2021, the total number of cases of mycorrhiza is 27142. The government also claimed that the number of injections against mucorrhoea was 62,000 in April, which will increase to 3.75 lakh by June 2021.
