WASHINGTON: The US stock market was on an upward trend on the first day of the new week starting today. The US Federal Reserve raised interest rates last week, signaling a rise in interest rates, after the market slumped on the last day of last week. Dow Jones was up 506 points at 33796.95 in the early trade. The Nasdaq was up 88 points at 14,119.
