Variants of Indian corona can spread like wildfire, dangerous for non-vaccinated people: Matt Hancock

- England's Health Minister Matt Hancock called the vaccine an excellent protector

London, Ta. 17 May 2021, Monday

Matt Hancock, England's health minister, has warned that variants of the Indian corona could spread like wildfire among those who have not yet been vaccinated. Corona viruses are spreading rapidly in areas such as Bolton and Blackburn in England. Hancock expressed satisfaction at the fact that the current vaccine is excellent and protects man by controlling the variant a lot.

Hancock urged those who are eligible to be vaccinated but have not yet registered for the vaccine to be vaccinated as soon as possible. Public Health England (PHE) says the number of infections in Britain, known as 1617.2, has more than doubled to 1313 from 520 reported by PHE last week.

Hancock said that the waiver granted in the lockdown needs to be used with extreme caution. The relaxation plan in the lockdown on Monday will still go ahead. A decision is expected to be announced on June 14. The announcement will be based on whether England will move to the final stage on June 21, when all legal restrictions on social contact are expected to be lifted, Hancock said.

Indoor entertainment will also resume in England with the opening of pubs, bars and restaurants indoors, which will include cinema, museums and a children's play world.

The exemption in England will allow a maximum of 30 people to gather together. Inside the house can be found a group of two families. Health experts in the country have warned that the next phase of the waiver should be used with extreme caution. According to the latest official data, 36 million people in England have taken the first dose of the corona vaccine.
