Uttar Pradesh: Explosion at refueling plant in Lucknow kills two, injures several

- Massive explosion, rescue and relief work started due to gas leak during cylinder refilling

Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, has witnessed a major mishap while refilling an oxygen cylinder. Two people were killed when a cylinder exploded during refilling, while several others were injured. After receiving the notification of the incident, the police reached there and started the relief work. The tragedy happened at Katie's oxygen plant in Chinhat.

An oxygen cylinder exploded on Wednesday at the Katie Oxygen Plant, located on Deva Road in the capital Lucknow amid the Corona epidemic. The cylinder ruptured, killing 2 people and injuring more than 6 others. The hand of a man working at the plant was seriously injured during the blast.


According to the police official, a gas leak occurred during refilling at the oxygen plant, which led to the accident. Officers rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident. The injured have been admitted to the hospital. Employees and security personnel working at the plant were injured in the incident. The blast was so massive that even the shed above the plant was blown into the air.

Oxygen crisis has also erupted in Uttar Pradesh and its capital Lucknow. Lay out long lines outside the oxygen plant. These lines seem to refill the cylinder. A new problem has arisen due to the accident at this plant in Teva.
