A strange sight was witnessed at Barabanki while long lines were being seen at health centers across the country for vaccines amid a growing corona transition. A team from the health department entered a village for vaccination or some people jumped into the Saryu river to escape. Seeing this scene, the officials who went for vaccination were blown away.
The incident took place at Sisauda village in Ramnagar where a team from the health department went on Saturday to vaccinate villagers against corona. Fearing the vaccine, most of the people went outside the village and stood near the Saryu river.
When SDM Rajiv Shukla of Ramnagar visited the vaccination drive in the village, many people jumped into the river despite persuasion because they did not want to be vaccinated.
Arriving at the spot, Rajiv Shukla called the people who jumped into the river and explained. However, only 14 people were vaccinated. A team from the health department arrived for the vaccination on Saturday due to the rapidly spreading corona infection in the village.
