Underworld don Chhota Rajan recovers from Corona, sent to Tihar Jail again from AIIMS

New Delhi, 11 May 2021 Tuesday

Corona's infected underworld don Chhota Rajan has now been sent to Tihar Jail after recovering from treatment, officials said. Chhota Rajan has been sent back to Tihar Jail after being discharged from AIIMS on Tuesday.

Chhota Rajan was infected with the corona virus on April 22, after which he was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) on April 24. Rajan, 61, was shifted back to Tihar Jail from the hospital on Tuesday after recovering, according to a senior police official.

Earlier, the jail authorities had denied reports of Rajan's death, but Tihar Jail Director General Sandeep Goyal said, "The news of the death of Tihar Jail inmate Rajendra Sadashiv Nikaj is false." After being extradited from Indonesia in 2015, Rajan has been lodged in a high-security prison in Tihar Jail.
