Touch: A ship carrying 273 people capsized in Mumbai waters, 177 people rescued

The hurricane has wreaked havoc from Maharashtra to Gujarat. Heavy winds and rains lashed various parts of the state. In the midst of all this, a boat with about 273 people on board sank in the sea during a hurricane in Mumbai.

The boat sank due to the hurricane and the Indian Navy later carried out a rescue operation in which 177 people were rescued by Tuesday morning. INS Kochi, INS Kolkata and other large ships are also involved in the rescue operation.

According to the Indian Navy, the rescue operation is being carried out with the help of Indian Naval P8I surveillance aircraft. Navy helicopters are also helping. The operation will be stepped up on Tuesday and the search operation will continue.

During the rescue operation, the Navy said a large boat carrying 273 people sank and 177 of them were rescued. A boat carrying 137 people was also stranded a short distance from Colaba. The Navy has also sent support to rescue them.

Apart from that the Navy’s INS Sword is keeping an eye on the place where an oil is extracted where 101 people are present. It is trying to move all the people to a safe place as soon as possible.
