Thousands of cases of mucomycosis in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, 50% of people are losing their lives

The second wave of Corona virus has worried everyone. There are currently more than 3 million active cases of corona in the country. In the midst of this epidemic, another disease has created a disaster. This disease is called mucorrhoea. Among the symptoms of corona are also showing symptoms of mucormycosis in patients. In states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, the effect of this disease is being felt more. The condition is so bad that about 50 percent of the patients are losing their lives to this disease.

There are currently more than 2,000 active cases of mucomycosis in Maharashtra, raising concerns among the state government. Arrangements are being made for the treatment of patients with mucorrhoea at the hospitals with which medical colleges are currently attached. State Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that as the number of corona cases in the state has been increasing, so has the number of patients with mucomycosis. Because of this the government has started taking necessary steps.

Symptoms of mucorrhoea include a black fungus that kills 50 percent of patients. Other symptoms include headache, fever, severe eye-nose pain, and loss of vision.
