There have been very few cases of blood clotting since vaccination in the country, with only 26 cases reported so far

The number of cases of blood clotting has come down in India since the introduction of corona vaccine, according to a report by the National AFI Committee of the Union Ministry of Health.

The committee said only 26 cases of blood clotting have been reported in the country so far after taking the dose of Kovishield. While no such case has come before the committee due to covacin. The ministry issued an advisory to those taking the covyshield vaccine and said that if any problem occurs within 20 days of taking the covishield vaccine, it should immediately report to the vaccination center.

Caution is advised if any of the corona vaccines show suspicious thromboembolic symptoms within 20 days after vaccination. In some countries, warnings have been issued about the occurrence of bleeding and blood clots after vaccination, especially after the AstraZeneca-Oxford vaccine. Alerts have been issued in some countries for blood clotting after the covshield vaccine. In India, there were about 23,000 complaints of side effects on Covin. Out of which only 700 incidents turned out to be of serious or hyper-serious nature.

Out of which 498 cases of serious and hyper-serious incidents have been completed. Of these, 26 cases were of blood clotting. These were covishield related, while covacin was not reported after taking the dose. In Britain, such cases have been found to be four per 1 lakh and in Germany 10 per 1 lakh.
