The second wave of Corona will take until July to end in India: Dr. Shahid Jamil

New Delhi, May 12, 2021, Wednesday

Corona cases are declining in some states but well-known virologist Dr Shahid Jamil has claimed that cases are declining in the second wave but the rate is much slower than in the first wave. Nor can it be said from now on that we have reached the peak of the second wave of the Corona.

He claimed that the second wave could take until July. Because the speed of case reduction is going to be very slow in the second wave. In an online program, Dr. Jamil said that it would be hasty to say that Corona's wave is at its peak right now. The graph will take another time coming down. Chances are, the fight against the second wave will last longer and last until July.

He said the number of cases was steadily declining in the first wave but it would take time for the second wave to reduce the number of cases due to the large number of corona patients being infected every day. In my view, even the death toll in India is wrong.

"People not only gave the virus a chance to spread, but also helped spread the infection by not following the Kovid protocol," said Dr Jamil. Until December, everyone believed that India had gained immunity against Corona, so marriages, election rallies and religious ceremonies were held as the transition spread. As of February, the number of people vaccinated in India was barely two per cent.
