Vaccination is underway in the country to defeat the corona virus. In the midst of all this, vaccine policies are constantly changing. Under these circumstances, if a person now has coronary heart disease, they will be vaccinated about 9 months after recovery. The National Expert Group on Vaccine Administration (NEGVAC) may soon take a decision on this. The group has suggested vaccinating only 9 months after recovery.

Vaccination time for people who have recently recovered from corona has been extended from 6 months to 9 months. The expert group has made this suggestion keeping in view the facts.

The rate of reinfection during the first wave of corona in India was up to 4.5 per cent. A gap of 102 days was observed during this period. Studies in some countries have shown that immunity lasts up to 6 months after coronary heart disease.

There is also the possibility of re-infection as the corona epidemic is still ongoing. It can also be beneficial in these circumstances if one has to wait for the first or second dose of the vaccine. Pregnant women have the option of getting the vaccine after delivery.
