The government has made a big revelation about the rumors including vaccine and global tender, saying the truth ...

New delhi date. May 27, 2021, Thursday

There are various rumors circulating on social media about the anti-coronary vaccination program in India and the facts are being misrepresented. The Government of India has termed these rumors as half-truths and distorted statements.

To put an end to these rumors, the Chairman of the Policy Commission and the National Expert Group on Vaccination Administration for Covid-19, Dr. Vinod Paul presented several facts related to vaccination.

Rumor No. 1: The Center does not take sufficient steps to procure vaccines from abroad
Fact: The central government has been in talks with international vaccine manufacturers since June-July 2020 and there have been several phases. These include Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and Modern. The government also helped them a lot. But we must understand that buying a vaccine is not as easy as buying something else. Vaccines are available in limited quantities and are conditional on vaccine manufacturers and their priorities for their country. But the conversation is still going on.

Rumor No-2: The Center did not approve the world's available vaccine in India
Fact:
The Government of India has taken an active stance and in April alone allowed the vaccine to enter India easily. The vaccines have been approved for emergency use by the USFDA, EMA, Britain's MHRA, Japan's PMDA and WHO. They will not need a bridging trial in India. There are currently no vaccine approval applications pending in India.

Rumor No-3: The Center is not giving enough vaccines to the states
Fact: The
Center is providing adequate vaccines to the states as per the guidelines laid down. So much so that states are being informed in advance about the availability of the vaccine. In the non-GOI channel, states are getting 25 per cent vaccine and private hospitals are being given 25 per cent. But many states cannot afford this 25 per cent. Some of our leaders come on TV without full knowledge of the facts and create fear but this is not the time to play politics.

Rumor No-4: The Center is not taking any steps for vaccination of children
Fact: At
present no country in the world is able to vaccinate children. Even the World Health Organization has not recommended a vaccine for children. Studies are currently underway on the safety of children's vaccines and the results are encouraging. A trial is also underway in India for a child vaccine.
