The United States has banned non-Americans from traveling there from India. The US government has taken an important decision regarding India, which is grappling with the serious crisis of the Koro epidemic. The United States has banned all non-Americans from entering India for the past 14 days.

This order has been in force since May 4. However, U.S. citizens, green card holders and their non-U.S. spouses and children will be exempt from this order. Apart from that, students, academics and journalists will also be exempted in some categories. The ban will continue until further notice by the US President.

The Biden administration has made this decision in view of the growing corona transition in India and the presence of many of its forms in India. Hours after the order was issued, the US State Department issued an order saying that the travel ban was similar to that granted to travelers from Brazil, China, Iran and South Africa.
