New cases of corona and transit rates have declined in the national capital, Delhi. However, the skepticism about prolonging or ending the lockdown amid declining transition rates is over. The Kejriwal government on Sunday once again extended the lockdown to one more week. Due to this, the ban will remain in force till May 31 in Delhi.

The Chief Minister said that if the cases continue to decline and the situation seems to be improving, the unlock process will be started after May 31. The lockdown in Delhi started on April 18 and was scheduled to end on May 24, but the Chief Minister has already announced to extend the lockdown for another week.

Chief Minister Kejriwal told a press conference on Sunday that the Corona wave was weakening in a month due to discipline in Delhi. The infection rate reached 36 percent in April and today fewer people are registering the infection.

Vaccine shortage

Kejriwal also spoke about the shortage of vaccines. However, at the same time, he expressed confidence that together they would find a solution to the vaccine problem. He also recalled doctors and nurses who were fully engaged in service during the epidemic. He also mentioned that many doctors have been lost and said that the war is still pending.
