New Delhi, May 8, 2021, Saturday

Prisoners in India's jails are also being infected due to the corona transition. In these circumstances, the Supreme Court has now ordered the release of inmates on 90-day parole to reduce the number of inmates in the jails and reduce the transition to corona.

After 90 days, all the prisoners will return to the jail. The apex court has also asked all the states to form a committee to implement the order. The committee will decide which prisoners will be released and which will not. Prisoners who have been given lenient sentences will be given priority. .

In the same way last year, some prisoners were released from the jail for a short period of time. The Supreme Court today ordered that the prisoners who were granted bail or parole last year should be given this facility again and the committees should be formed to release them. They do not need to be reconsidered.

The court said that if new prisoners are to be granted parole, the guidelines should be considered.
