PM's message to district collectors on Koro issue: Stop black marketing, raise awareness in villages

In the midst of all this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday had a direct dialogue with the DMs of 46 affected districts of the country. The Prime Minister discussed the local situation, DM's experiences and future preparations. Home Minister Amit Shah was also present at the meeting.

PM's message to the Collector

Addressing the district collectors, the Prime Minister said, "Many people have lost their families in the Corona era. Send me in writing what you have done in your districts, we will apply it to other districts as well. Each district has its own challenges, if your district wins then the country wins. The message should reach every village that they will keep their village corona free.

The Prime Minister said, “The villagers are managing in their own way, even during the first wave, they handled the crisis. Everyone is playing an important role in this fight against Corona. All DMs are field commanders of this war. Accurate and accurate information should be provided to the people so that they keep in mind how many beds are in which hospital and how many beds are vacant. It is also necessary to encourage frontline workers.

Need to change guidelines locally

The Prime Minister said it was important to focus on testing, tracking, treatment and isolation. At the same time, an oxygen plant will be set up in each district hospital from the PM Care Fund for which preparations have already been made. He mentioned the need to increase vaccine supply and remove all illusions associated with vaccines.

The meeting will also be held on May 20

The central government had earlier also requested the states to provide screening, containment zones, health facilities at the local level. The second phase of discussions with the district collectors will be held on May 20 in which the Prime Minister will hold discussions with other state officials.
