PM Modi's photo removed from Chhattisgarh Corona vaccination certificate

Chhattisgarh, 23rd May 2021, Sunday

A vaccination campaign is also underway in the Corona period. Until now, vaccinators used to see a photo of PM Modi on the certificates they get for this.

Now the chief ministers of the states have removed this photo and started posting their own photo. The initiative was taken by Jharkhand CM Hemat Soren. After that, now Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel has also removed the picture of PM Modi and put his own picture in its place.

Thus, on the certificate given to the vaccinators in these two states, you will no longer see PM Modi's photo but that of the CM. According to an English newspaper report, the process of issuing certificates like this has started. In which two states have joined. "No one should object to this decision," the report quoted Chhattisgarh Health Minister TS Singhdev as saying. As long as the central government was funding the vaccine, there was a photo of the PM on the certificate and now that the state government is arranging for the vaccine itself, it is reasonable to have a photo of the CM on the certificate. The photo of the PM should not be insisted on the certificate when the central government has shifted the burden of vaccination to the states.

It seems that states other than the BJP-ruled states may emulate Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand in the coming days.
