PM Modi praises Kerala for curbing corona vaccine waste

Kolkata, Ta. 5 May 2021, Wednesday

In the midst of the ongoing corona vaccination campaign in the country, PM Narendra Modi has lauded Kerala for curbing the waste of vaccine doses.

Earlier, Kerala Chief Minister P Vijayan tweeted on Tuesday that the state had been given 73.28 lakh doses of the corona vaccine by the central government. 74.26 lakh vaccine doses have also been given using other doses we had. In which the dose goes to the waste. Our health works and especially the nurses are doing the vaccination very effectively and to their lesser praise.

On the other hand, PM Modi tagged P Vijayan's tweet and said, "It is good to see the example given by our health workers and nurses in preventing dose wastage." It is important to see that the dose of vaccine is not wasted to strengthen the fight against covid.

In Kerala, meanwhile, Corona's pace is still the same. Strict restrictions such as lockdowns have been imposed in the state from May 4 to 9 to prevent corona.
