The Allahabad High Court has sternly commented on the oxygen shortage amid the Koro crisis. During the hearing of a public interest litigation in the growing contagion of covid, the High Court equated the shortage of oxygen in hospitals and the resulting deaths as genocide.

The court said that the death of Kovid patients due to lack of oxygen supply in the hospitals was tantamount to a criminal act. The death of covid patients who have been tasked with ensuring a supply of liquid medical oxygen is not a genocide. A division bench of Justice Siddharth Verma and Justice Ajit Kumar made the stern remarks during the hearing of the case.

Meanwhile, the State Election Commission filed an affidavit. Apart from that, the district judge of 9 districts has filed a report in the Kovid case in the court. Additional Advocate General Manish Goyal has sought a two-day period from the court. Time has been sought to comply with the order of the previous hearing on April 27.
