Amid rising cases of Corona transition, news of a relief came on Saturday. The Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has approved the emergency use of a drug for the treatment of corona. The drug has been developed in collaboration with DRDO's Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS) and Hyderabad Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB). The drug is currently named 2-deoxy-D-glucose (2-DG) and is responsible for its production. Reddy Laboratories.

Clinical trials of this drug have been successful. According to one claim, patients who underwent a trial showed rapid recovery. At the same time, the dependence of patients on oxygen was also reduced. It is also claimed that the corona report of patients using this drug is coming negative sooner than the rest of the patients. Which means it's about to be the most delusional time of the year, as well.

DRDO scientists conducted experiments on the drug in a lab in April 2020. During the experiment, the drug was found to help prevent corona virus. Based on this, DCGI approved Phase-2 trials in May 2020.
