Nurse on duty despite being pregnant

A nurse from Limo village in Kawardha block of Chhattisgarh became Corona's warriors and showed such courage that today everyone is saluting her. In fact the nurse was serving people even though she was pregnant. Later, when she gave birth to a baby girl, both mother and daughter became infected with coronavirus. The doctors worked hard to save the baby, but the nurse on duty said goodbye to this world.

Constantly doing duty in pregnancy

According to the nurse's husband Bhesh Kumar, his wife Prabha was on duty in Kovid ward despite being pregnant. Prabha was posted at Primary Health Center Khairwar Khurd Lormi (Mungeli). During her pregnancy, she lived alone in a rented house in Kapadah village and commuted to and from the hospital.

Prabha was admitted to a private hospital in Kawardha on April 30 when she was in labor pains, Bhesh Kumar said. She gave birth to a baby girl by caesarean section. He had a fever several times in the hospital. The cough also started when she reached home after being discharged. The report was positive in the antigen test and he was admitted to a hospital in Kawardha. He was referred to Raipur due to low oxygen level but he breathed his last on May 21.

Married a year ago

Prabha, who lives at Dharasinwa in Raipur, got married in June 2020. Since it was a lockdown at the time he followed all of Corona’s guidelines.

The baby's name will keep the trick

The corona report of both the newborn girl and Prabha came positive and the girl was admitted to another hospital. She is OK and her baby is taking care of her. Prabha could not survive as she had 80 percent infection in her lungs. According to Bhesh Kumar, since Prabha likes the trick name, the girl will be given that name.
