Now Punjab has also removed the picture of PM Modi from the vaccination certificate

After Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, now Punjab has also removed the image of PM Modi from the vaccination certificate.

Punjab is now the third state in the country to do so. The Punjab government has now affixed the logo of Mission Fateh on the vaccination certificate for corona vaccine. Earlier, several political parties had declared disaster on the picture on PM Modi's vaccination certificate.

That being said, there is a rift between the central government and the state government over the demand for the vaccine. Some states have even issued tenders to procure their own vaccines from abroad. However, Mordana and Pfizer have refused to provide the vaccine directly to the Punjab government. It is believed that this is why the Punjab government has removed Modi's logo from the vaccine certificate.

Meanwhile, the list of people who have priority for vaccines in the state also includes shopkeepers, hospitality sector employees, industrial workers, small shops and lorries, bus and taxi drivers. Chief Minister Amarinder Singh says many people in the state have donated for the vaccine. Out of the priority people in the state, 4.3 lakh people have been vaccinated.
