North Indians get rich because of DMK but vote for BJP: Tamil Nadu minister

Tamil Nadu, May 26, 2021, Wednesday

In Tamil Nadu, a minister in MK Stalin's government has made a statement inciting regionalism and it is being discussed all around. The minister has accused North Indians living in the state of betraying the DMK.

"I see North Indians getting rich in Tamil Nadu but this is not because of the BJP but because of the DMK," said PK Babu, a minister in the Stalin government. But you are voting for BJP, not us. You are betraying us. Earlier voting was done from ballot paper but now you can see who you voted by pressing the button.

PK Babu further said that more should be done to the criminals. So that they may be ashamed. You should do better for those who are hurting you. So that they admit their mistakes and feel ashamed.

The DMK-led coalition won a landslide victory in the recent state elections. As a result, MK Stalin has become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. In Maharashtra, Raj Thackeray's party usually targets UP residents from time to time, but even in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, there is a debate over a statement made by a government minister to the people of UP.

The North Indian community here is also upset over the statement.
