There was a line written on the Bangladeshi passport - leaving Israel. The Bangladesh government announced on May 22 that it would remove the sentence from its passport. The move by the Bangladesh government was seen as a change in attitude towards Israel and was welcomed by the Israeli Foreign Ministry, which also advocated for the establishment of diplomatic relations.

Now, the Bangladesh government has issued a statement making it clear that there has been no change in its policy towards Israel. It still does not recognize Israel and the travel ban will remain in place. Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen told a press conference in Dhaka on Sunday that he had decided to remove the line from the passport just six months ago when he launched the e-passport.

Dr. According to Momen, this was for the standardization of his passport. His foreign policy towards Israel will remain the same as before. They are not going to establish relations with Israel. He also clarified that he supports the struggle of the Palestinian people and the two-state solution. But there will be no change in foreign policy.

Earlier, a clause was written on the Bangladeshi passport stating that the passport is valid for all countries of the world except Israel.
