Need for introspection instead of criticizing elected government, Bengal BJP leader posts on Facebook

New Delhi, May 30, 2021

After the BJP's defeat in the West Bengal Assembly elections, discontent within the party is now coming to the surface. Party leaders are now making statements against the party.

In West Bengal, the son of top BJP leader Mukul Roy and former MLA Shubhranshu Roy has also targeted the party through a Facebook post. He said the party needed to introspect itself instead of criticizing the popularly elected Mamata government.

Mukul Roy was once a veteran leader of Mamata Banerjee's party and left the TMC to join the BJP, while his son Shubhranshu Roy also joined the BJP and contested the Assembly elections on a BJP ticket in the recent elections. The party has been publicly criticized.

Other leaders who left the TMC and joined the BJP have also indirectly expressed their dissatisfaction. Sonali Guha, who left the TMC, has even written a letter to Mamata Banerjee requesting her to return to the TMC.

The clash between BJP and TMC is still going on. Mamata Banerjee arrived 30 minutes late to meet PM Modi who came to review the hurricane Yas. Statements have also been made between BJP and TMC on this issue.
