Lakshadweep island is India's jewel but ignorant people in government are destroying it: Rahul Gandhi

The Lakshadweep Islands of India are currently under discussion. Former Congress president and MP Rahul Gandhi has accused the central government of trying to destroy the islands. On this issue, Rahul Gandhi said that Lakshadweep islands are the jewel of the country and the government wants to destroy them.

Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "I am in support of the people of Lakshadweep." The central government is removing this ornament. The ignorant and fundamentalists in power are trying to destroy Lakshadweep. I am with the people there.

The Congress yesterday also appealed to the government to withdraw all decisions taken on Lakshadweep and remove Praful Patel from the post of administrator. Party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi also said that the Congress was with the people of Lakshadweep and would support them in the fight to protect their cultural heritage.

The Congress had written a letter to the President seeking removal of Praful Patel from the post of administrator, saying that all decisions taken during his tenure should be revoked.

According to the details received, the ban on Lakshadweep has been lifted. Also beef products are banned. Fishing is the main occupation for most of Lakshadweep's population but the opposition alleges that the system has ordered the removal of fishermen's huts from the coast.

On the other hand, Lakshadweep BJP in-charge AP Abdullah Kutty said that opposition leaders were opposing Praful Patel. Because he has made decisions to eradicate the corruption of leaders from these islands.
