- Delhi Chief Minister's statement is not India's statement: External Affairs Minister

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's statement on the 'Singapore strain' of the Corona virus has sparked controversy. Arvind Kejriwal termed the new strain as dangerous and urged the Center to ban flights from Singapore. India's Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri responded, but now Singapore has reacted harshly.

After Singapore's displeasure, Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar also advised the Delhi Chief Minister. In fact, Kejriwal tweeted that Corona's new strain in Singapore is considered too dangerous for children, it could be the third wave in India. I urge the Central Government to immediately cancel air services with Singapore, and work on vaccine options for children on a priority basis.

Singapore protested the issue and also informed the Indian High Commissioner. The Singapore Embassy in India responded to Arvind Kejriwal's tweet. According to him, there is no truth in the fact that a new strain of Corona has been found in Singapore. Testing found only the B.1.617.2 variant of the Corona in Singapore, which also includes some cases involving children.

After protests by Singapore, India said the Delhi chief minister had no right to speak on the issue of Corona virus variants or aircraft policy. External Affairs Minister S. "Both Singapore and India are fighting Corona," Jaishankar tweeted. Thank you for the help Singapore has given to India in this fight. I want to make it clear that the statement of the Chief Minister of Delhi is not the statement of India.
