The May session examination under JEE Main 2021 has been postponed in view of the deteriorating situation across the country due to the second wave of global epidemic Kovid 19. In this regard, the Union Minister of Human Resources Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has given this information through a tweet. Earlier, there were reports that preparations were underway to postpone the exam. It may be mentioned here that the examination to be held in April has also been postponed. The notification to postpone the exams from May 24 to May 28 was expected to be made public next week.
According to a senior official of the National Testing Agency (NTA), the situation with Corona is extremely bad across the country. Students and parents are struggling with the transition. There is no situation to conduct an examination in such a situation. It has been decided to postpone the examination for the safety of the students.
Whenever Corona's transition situation improves, a new schedule of exams will be announced. Students will also have full time to prepare. Students will be updated soon by issuing a notification in this regard. Previously, examinations for February and March semester have been conducted under JEE Main 2021. 620978 students appeared in the February session and 556248 students appeared in the March session.
Looking at the present situation of COVID-19 and keeping students safety in mind, JEE (Main) - May 2021 session has been postponed.
