Jaipur: A spiritual guru made four women, including three from the same family, victims of lust

A total of four women, including three from the same family, have lodged a complaint alleging that they were raped by a spiritual guru at an ashram in Jaipur, police said in a statement.

According to Bhankrota police station station officer Mukesh Chaudhary, four women have lodged a complaint against Shailendra Mehta. The women have claimed in the complaint that the spiritual guru of the ashram raped us while they were going to the ascetic ashram for activities including satsang.

The police official further said that according to the victims, they had been visiting the ashram with their families for years. These women also stayed in the ashram for a day or two to serve. It was during this time that she was raped.

Three women from the same family lodged a complaint on Tuesday while a fourth woman lodged an FIR on Wednesday. The matter came to light when a woman along with her husband refused to take her daughter to the ashram.

When the husband insisted on taking his daughter to the ashram too, two other women of the same family also dared to recite their offerings. The family then decided to file a complaint against the guru of the ashram.
