Intoxicated with power, the crushed collector jumped on the young man who was going to take medicine in the lockdown, smashed his mobile.

There is a lot of outrage on social media after another power-hungry collector made a move during the lockdown.

A few days back, the Tripura collector broke into a wedding party and slapped Panditji for marrying him. Now, the video of Ranivar Sharma, the Collector of Surajpur, Chhattisgarh, slapping a young man who went out to take medicine in a lockdown has gone viral. However, the Chhattisgarh government has been satisfied with the replacement instead of suspending the collector.

According to the details received, Collector Sharma stopped the youth on the road during the lockdown. The youth said he was going to take the medicine himself and also showed the prescription in the mobile. Intoxicated with power, he snatched his mobile phone from the young man's hand and smashed the road. Not only that, the young man was slapped. He also ordered his security guard to beat the young man with a stick.

The Chhattisgarh government has taken action after people on social media started questioning the collector as well as the authority of IAS officers and has replaced Collector Ranveer Sharma. The collector has also been forced to apologize. However people on social media are demanding the suspension of the collector.
