WhatsApp has reached the Delhi High Court in protest of the government's new digital rules. WhatsApp has appealed to the court to block the new digital rules as it is against the privacy of users. In court, WhatsApp ruled the new laws unconstitutional because they endangered users' privacy.

WhatsApp is against the new digital rules. In the new digital rules, social media companies will have to answer who is the first to post. WhatsApp is being most affected by these new rules.

On the issue of challenging Indian IT rules, a WhatsApp spokesperson said, "Tracing a user's chat means that WhatsApp will have a fingerprint of every message." This will violate the privacy of the user which is their fundamental right. They will continue to talk to the Government of India and try to find a solution. If they have a valid valid request, they will take it and provide all the information available to them.
