Give 700 metric tonnes of oxygen to Delhi, we will not allow less than that: SC hits Center

Oxygen shortages have arisen in many states of the country amid the outbreak of the Corona epidemic. Not only that but many people have died so far due to lack of oxygen. The issue of lack of oxygen inside Delhi's hospitals has reached the Supreme Court. The Center had moved the apex court on Wednesday while the issue was being heard in the Delhi High Court. The Supreme Court heard the government's appeal today. Meanwhile, the apex court has directed the Center to provide oxygen to Delhi as per its requirement. Also, he has asked to give the complete plan by 10:30 am on Thursday.

During the hearing, the Center told the court that Delhi's demand was high, as resources were needed. Commenting on this, Justice Shah said that this is a national disaster. People die due to lack of oxygen. The center is trying its own way, but right now there is a lack of oxygen. Tell us the full plan for the oxygen system at 10:30 am tomorrow.

During the hearing, the Center told the court that Delhi could run on 500 metric tonnes of oxygen. On which Justice Chandrachud clearly refused and said that he has ordered to provide 700 metric tons of oxygen, we cannot back down from it. The court made it clear that the central government would not allow less than 700 metric tonnes of oxygen to Delhi.

The court said the central government could form a committee to supply oxygen to Delhi. Including private doctors and specialists. The court said you can suggest the name of this committee. Justice Chandrachud said that if we feel helpless now, what will be the condition of the people? Apart from this, the Supreme Court also slammed the central government for presenting false information inside the Delhi High Court.
