New delhi date. May 4, 2021, Tuesday

Amid the Corona virus crisis in Delhi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday made an important announcement at a press conference. Arvind Kejriwal has announced that there are a total of 72 lakh ration card holders in Delhi, all of whom will be given free rations for the next two months. The Delhi government has taken this decision amid the Corona crisis and the lockdown that has been going on for several days.

Apart from this, Arvind Kejriwal said that as many motorists and taxi drivers as there are in Delhi, they will all be given financial help of five thousand rupees. Under this, about 1.5 lakh auto drivers and taxi drivers in Delhi will get the benefit. Arvind Kejriwal said that last week the workers were also given some kind of help.

The lockdown has created an economic crisis for the poor. Last week, we deposited Rs 5,000 in the laborers' account. Arvind Kejriwal further said that getting free rations for two months does not mean that the lockdown will last for two months. We want the lockdown to end as soon as the situation improves.

At the same time, he has appealed to those who can help in those difficult times for Delhi because of Corona, to help the people. Help people deliver food, bed or even oxygen. It may be mentioned that the second wave of Corona virus has caused outcry in Delhi as well. Especially in Delhi, the situation has worsened due to lack of oxygen.
