New Delhi, May 16, 2021, Wednesday
The Delhi chief minister tweeted last Tuesday that a new variant of Singapore was spreading among children, calling on the Singapore government to object to the Indian High Commission. The tweet described the new look of the Corona in Singapore as extremely dangerous for children. This variant could bring the third wave of Corona to India. Therefore, Kejriwal had recommended to the Center to ban the cancellation of flights to and from Singapore to avoid the Singapore variant. A tweet from the Singapore High Commission said there was no evidence that there was any new strain of covid in Singapore. Which is not the new Singapore variant.
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said Singapore objected to the Delhi chief minister's tweet. Singapore believes that Delhi Chief Minister Kovid Variants is not qualified to announce a civil aviation policy. On this issue, Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar tweeted that India and Singapore have become strong partners in the fight against Kovid-12. We admire Singapore for its logistics hub and oxygen support. The deployment of military aircraft to help India reflects the noble relations between the two countries. The irresponsible statements of some people may affect the long-term partnership between the two, so I make it clear that the Delhi Chief Minister's statement does not belong to the whole of India. Thus, the controversy over Kejriwal's Singapore variant is growing.
