In Tibet, the Dalai Lama's successor will be chosen at the behest of China. China has said it will not recognize the current Dalai Lama or his followers if they decide on a successor.

An official paper issued by the Chinese government claims that the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama and other living Buddhists have been recognized by the central government since the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). The document states that Tibet is an integral part of China.

It is added in the document that After repelling the Gorkha infiltrators from 1793, the King's government approved the arrangement in Tibet. Will fall. Whoever is selected will then be approved by the Chinese central government.

Sino-Tibetan relations are believed to have begun in the 15th century. Sikhampa founded the Jelag School in 1409; Through which Buddhism was propagated. This place called Tibet is between India and China. Gendun Drup, the most talked about student of the same school, became the Dalai Lama before him. Leaders of Tibetan Buddhism are also called the guides of Buddhists around the world.

The rest of the Dalai Lama was similarly selected. The 13th Dalai Lama Tibet declared independent in 1912. China entered the picture while the selection process for the 14th Dalai Lama was underway. Tibet lost the Chinese invasion at that time. There was also a revolt against the Chinese in Tibet, but it did not succeed.

Meanwhile, the 14th Dalai Lama took refuge in India. E.S. A large number of Tibetans also came to India in 1959. India gave him political asylum. Since that day, the Tibetan government-in-exile has been working in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh.

The Dalai Lama is currently 85 years old. The issue of his successor has been hotly debated for the last few years.

The United States has said the successor should be chosen by the Dalai Lama, Tibetan Buddhist leaders and Tibetan Buddhists. The US Congress has enacted the Tibetan Policy and Support Act, 2020 on this issue.

However, the Chinese Foreign Ministry has made it clear that the Dalai Lama's selection process is too old. The 14th Dalai Lama was chosen with religious rites and historical traditions. Now China will also choose his successor.
