Corona patients will now be treated free of cost in private hospitals in this neighboring state of Gujarat

Gujarat's neighboring state of Rajasthan has now announced free treatment of Corona patients in all private hospitals in the state under the Chief Minister's Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme. The scheme will benefit all those connected to the insurance scheme.

The government has directed all the district collectors to check whether the corona patients who have the insurance scheme are getting free treatment in a private hospital. If any hospital refuses treatment, it should also take stern action against them.

The government has also said that this order must be obeyed by all hospitals. It may be mentioned that the Chiranjeevi scheme has been launched from May 1 and more than 22 lakh families have joined it. A budget of Rs 3500 crore has been allocated for the scheme. Rupee cashless insurance cover is provided. The government has given till May 31 to join.
