Corona infection: Plasma takers do not get the vaccine before 3 months

- Antibodies remain in the person for 9 months after recovery from corona infection

People who have had plasma therapy during a corona infection may have to wait at least 3 months for the vaccine. Apart from that, people who have recovered from the corona virus will be vaccinated only after 6 to 9 months. The National Task Force has sent such instructions to the Union Ministry of Health.

The National Task Force on Vaccination, formed after the removal of plasma therapy from the Covid therapy protocol, held a review meeting on how long to vaccinate those recovering from infection, in which they also discussed at length the study published in national and international medical journals.

A senior member involved in the meeting said the person has antibodies for up to 9 months after recovering from a corona infection. Under these circumstances, such a person does not need to be vaccinated for such a long time. Anyone can develop antibodies after taking a single dose of the vaccine.

After taking the second dose of the vaccine, the antibody is boosted and its level reaches 100 percent. If a person recovers from a coronary heart disease, they already have antibodies in their body that begin to decline after 6 to 9 months. At that point the vaccine given to that person can be more and longer effective.
