New Delhi, May 2, 2021

TMC candidate Kajal Sinha, who lost his life due to Koro's transition, is reportedly leading his seat.

According to figures released at 12 noon, Kajal Sinha, who is contesting from Khadda assembly constituency, has secured a margin of 7,000 votes. However, if he wins, re-election will have to be held here.

Kajal Sinha died after contracting the corona. His wife Nandita Sinha blamed the Election Commission for it. She lodged a complaint with the police against the officials.

In West Bengal, the Election Commission had decided to hold the elections in eight phases at a time when the entire country was battling a new strain of the corona virus. The Koro transition has spread here since the election lasted for a month.
