Battle with Corona: Dr. Naresh Trehan says - 'Covid cocktail' is a new weapon against the epidemic, find out about it

Dr Naresh Trehan said on Wednesday that when a corona infected patient is given doses of casirivimab and imdevimab at an early stage, it prevents the virus from entering the body's cells. He said it is working against Covid-19 and is also effective against the new strain B1.617 of the virus.

He said that yesterday (Tuesday) an 82-year-old patient suffering from various ailments was given a covid cocktail and he went to his home. Now we will keep an eye on them. This prevents the virus from spreading many times over, especially in people who have high levels of the virus, and who are at high risk of serious infections.

Dr. Naresh Trehan said that covid cocktails have been widely used in America and Europe. Experience there shows that 70 to 80 percent of people who are going to be admitted for treatment do not need to be hospitalized if they are given a dose of cocktail within the first seven days of infection.
